April 19^th 12-1:30 in AAC 301 (Heavy snacks will be provided-yummy!)  

Advising & Mentoring beyond FSEM  

What do the mentoring relationships built during FSEM look like beyond the first year?  We’ll discuss ways that faculty can maintain mentoring relationships, manage adjustments within the student’s constellation of mentors, and move from formal to more informal advising work. Since requests for recommendations or references are some of the most common ways that faculty are asked to support students beyond FSEM, we will also discuss how to approach these conversations and workshop effective and ineffective letters with support from colleagues in the Office of Scholar Development & Fellowship Advising.

**FSEM Faculty Reflection Pay Fix

Faculty reflection payment will be in your April 1 paycheck (not February as previously communicated). Payroll had a hiccup and they said sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you to those of you who reached out and told us about the missing payment.
