Information on the FSEM Town Hall and Civic Debate on April 28th from 12-2pm.
Join us on Zoom for our spring FSEM professional development event! We will open with a town hall discussion/reflection on the advising approach we piloted in 2022-2023. And Senior Vice Provost Jennifer Karas will discuss budget changes impacting FSEM in 2023-2024.
Later, Professor of Communication Darrin Hicks will discuss the Debate Across the Curriculum program, which features in-class, non-competitive debates that involve students on topics related to course content. To date, Darrin has facilitated 40 debates across campus, with nearly 1000 student participants. Following debates, participating faculty reported increased class engagement, deeper class discussion, and more critical and caring classroom interactions.

Spring First Ascent trips are around the corner! If you are interested in participating in this experience, please register immediately on the First Ascent website. Select the trip date you would like to participate in, May 5-7 or May 12-14. The registration form will collect important information related to your housing and dietary preferences, as well as any essential medical history or accommodation requests.
