UDL Your Course Overview– 

On August 10th, from 12-2 pm, we welcome you to join Becca Ciancanelli, the OTL’s Director of Inclusive Teaching Practices, and Ellen Hogan, the Accessibility Technologist for Learning and Instruction, to engage in a UDL Your Course Overview. This particular workshop will introduce the important components of infusing UDL into your course with some highlights from each workshop topic. These strategies aim to center the needs of students with disabilities but can also enhance learning experiences for all learners. Please be prepared to focus on a certain aspect of your course, whether that be materials, using canvas, classroom participation, or assessment. Participants should expect to take away some new strategies for enhancing inclusive teaching practices for their FSEM students!

**New 4D FSEM Optional Training Studio

Dear FSEM faculty, 

The 4D Experience team invites faculty registrants for an in-person 4D FSEM Training Studio on Tuesday, August 30^th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. in Community Commons 2600. The studio will be led by Dr. Laura Perille, Co-Director of the 4D Experience, and Dr. Virginia Pitts, Director of University Teaching in the Office of Teaching and Learning.  

Through interactive activities, this studio seeks to provide participants with the frameworks, mindsets, and tools to further advance their commitment to holistic learning and development in line with the 4D Experience. First, the studio will offer greater insight into how the 4D Experience is being conceptualized and made real for students and the larger DU community in the coming years. In addition, and most critically, the studio will support participants in designing for greater belonging and purpose, both in the classroom and in individual interactions with students. Participants will come away with actionable strategies for setting the stage for belonging to emerge in their work, thereby not only enhancing and invigorating our students’ 4D Experience but also gaining tools that may be applied across their professional work.  

Please register by Tuesday, August 9^th for the studio by using this Qualtrics form. An email from the 4D Experience team will then be sent to confirm your participation. Participants will receive $250 for attending the entire three-hour training.
