Hello all-
Please see the message from Kristy below. Best, Monica
Dear FSEM faculty,
I’m excited to share the below announcement and information about the new Path Forward Program (the message below went out to all faculty advisors this morning). Invitations to eligible students will go out next week. I’ve also included a full list of eligible students, sorted by FSEM faculty last name, so you can see which of your advisees will be invited to the program. Please encourage eligible students to sign up, and let me know if you have any questions!
Best wishes,
Kristy
Announcing the Path Forward Program
Kristy Firebaugh
Hello faculty advisors,
The office of student success is pleased to announce the Path Forward Program, which provides additional support to eligible first-time, first-year undergraduate students as they plan for their academic paths into their second year and beyond. The program pairs positive academic behaviors with financial incentives to encourage success in their academic journeys.
Audiences for this pilot are those who may benefit from additional academic support, including students who are: undeclared; taking fewer than 12 credits in fall 2021 or winter 2022; on academic warning or academic probation; or received below a C in FSEM or a common curriculum course in fall 2021.
Eligible first-time, first-year students will receive invitations to the program on Feb. 1, and students can sign up until Feb. 25. Attached is a flyer with information about the program and a link to sign up, as well as a list of FAQs.
We ask that you please encourage eligible students (who receive an invitation) to sign up for this program. In particular, upcoming academic advising meetings may be a great opportunity to remind or discuss these benefits of the program any students you meet with who have received an invitation.
Please let me know if you have questions about the program, and thank you for encouraging students to engage in the academic resources we have available as they continue at DU. Given this program’s focus on first-year students, additional information will be sent to FSEM faculty shortly.
Best wishes,
Kristy
