Hello advisors,

As this Academic Year is coming to an end, we at the LL&C (Languages, Literatures and Cultures), the SSLCS (Spanish Language, Literary and Cultural Studies) and the CWLC (Center for World Languages and Cultures) are working together to find a more efficient and successful future for Languages and Cultures at DU. We are hoping to gather information that can help us be better and to better support you. Please, take a few minutes to answer 10 questions that we plan on using to adapt and improve.

Hello All-

Hope this finds you having a lovely summer!! Check out the updates on fall events and orientation:

Discoveries/Destinations Update

Hot off the presses, the approved Discoveries orientation schedule is attached. You will notice an important change from previous years regarding the Destinations trips on Friday 9/10. The trips will now take place after new student Convocation on Friday morning. For faculty who requested group tickets, we be in touch to confirm your plans and work with this new schedule. Convocation ends at 10:30, so faculty might consider eating lunch on campus before heading out for an afternoon activity. We are also offering some on-campus options this year. Reach out to me/Grace if you’re interested.

We contacted several Denver museums about Destinations options. Most are willing to work with our large numbers on Friday afternoon; however, the Denver Art Museum is not accepting larger groups. As an alternative, the Denver Botanic Gardens is offering deeply discounted tickets to us. Grace and I will contact all of you that this affects to see if you can change your plans.

Welcome Letters

Lastly, please remember that the final day to submit your FSEM student Welcome Letters is July 1. Thank you to everyone who has submitted theirs already. Letters will be sent to students in early August after July registration.
