Hello, FSEM Faculty. Here are a few updates and two action items:

1. Discoveries FSEM sessions will take place from 9-10:30am on Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11. One of these sessions will be online. Please generate Zoom links (via Canvas or udenver.zoom.us) for both sessions (9-10:30 on 9/20 & 9/11) and email the links to Grace Warner Grace.Warner@du.edu . Discoveries organizers will share these links with your students and keep them on hand, in case of any last-minute additions/changes to your roster. Please reach out to Grace Warner if you need help creating Zoom links.

2. Due to budget constraints and our limited time with students, FSEM faculty will not receive support from orientation leaders this year.

3. FSEM faculty are invited to the professional development workshop, “High-Impact FSEM Across Modalities: Engaging First-Time, First-Year Students in the Digital Environment,” with guest presenter Heather Tobin this Friday from 10-12. Please RSVP at https://udenver.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1H6YL2QE0y64U8B   if you plan to attend.   

4. Remember to reach out to the Students in your FSEM personally in August to receive your reallocated destinations funds. This is more than just an email- please have an individual zoom meeting or phone call with each student.  Contact Monica for more details if needed.
